1. Topic-Oriented Call (OA, RA, PsA, Registries, Remission and Flare)
Disease-specific or broader calls involving applicants from three different European countries.

To support scientific excellence.

FOREUM Calls
Annual Calls
Consolidated Career Grant: Open Topic.
Budget: EUR 200.000 for a maximum of 3 years; max 4 projects funded.
FOREUM Career Research Grants are intended to support outstanding early-career researchers with a solid track record in RMD research. Applicants must have been awarded their PhD or MD no more than 8 years before the application deadline.
The grant aims to support the initiation of an innovative, independent research project for a maximum period of 36 months, allowing for the applicant’s sustained career development towards becoming a future group leader.

Early Career Grant: Open Topic
Budget: EUR 150,000 for a maximum of 3 years; up to 3 projects will be funded.
The FOREUM Early Career Research Grant is intended to support outstanding early-career researchers with a solid track record in RMD research. Applicants must have been awarded their PhD or MD no more than 4 years before the application deadline.

Budget EUR 600.000 for maximum 3 years; max 3 projects funded.
FOREUM primarily encourages collaboration across Europe and therefore requires multi-centre project applications involving partners from at least three different countries (EULAR member countries).
An individual proposal may be funded up to a maximum amount of EUR 600,000 for a 3-year funding period. Collaborating partners should receive a substantial part of the budget to appropriately conduct the research.

Industry Partnered Calls
Platinum and Gold Plus Calls
Budget: EUR 50.000 to 100.000 for one-year projects. The number of projects funded is determined by the supporting industry partners.
