Call for Research Proposals on Ageing in RMDs
Rheumatic Musculoskeletal Diseases (RMDs) are among the most important conditions affecting health at different stages of life. Whether young, middle-aged or senior, changes in the function of the musculoskeletal system but also the responsiveness of the immune system occur thereby impacting the clinical manifestations of RMDs.
FOREUM Foundation for Research in Rheumatology wishes to instigate research, which will increase the knowledge on the impact of life course progression on the musculoskeletal and the immune system. The call is not necessarily restricted to study senior individuals only.
14 letters of intent were received of which five applicants have been invited to send in full applications. Evaluation takes place currently.

Call for Research Proposals in the Area of Stratified Medicine in Rheumatology
Stratified medicine approaches are based on the concept that different subgroups exist within a single disease entity. These subgroups may vary in the natural course of the disease, in their responsiveness to therapy and in the overall outcome of the patients.
There is a substantial level of heterogenity within individual Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Diseases (RMDs) suggesting that stratified medicine approaches are not only feasible but will become an essential part of a more specific and better management of these diseases.
FOREUM launched a call for research proposals and received 24 letters of intent. Applicants will be informed if they are invited to send in a full application by 1 July.
